About Northern Resort
Nitschke's Northern Resort is a year-round, vacation destination nestled in Minocqua, Wisconsin. It has 21 spacious cabins that combine traditional northwoods ambience with modern amenities.
Bri'Ash Management, owned by Brigit Haucke, is the onsite manager of the resort who purchased the property in 2001. Since then, she and her team have transformed it into a beautiful and inviting getaway.
As the founding resort in the Minocqua area, Nitschke's Northern Resort has been a beloved spot for multiple generations. Many families have been coming for over 20 years because of the ideal location directly on Lake Minocqua, giving guests boat access to the Minocqua chain-of-lakes, many local attractions, and the best fishing around.

Guests also enjoy that the resort is just a 10-minute walk to downtown Minocqua, via the Bearskin trail, where they can go shopping, eat great food, have a few drinks, and taste the best fudge in the Northwoods.

Unmatched Accessibility
Unlike many resorts in the area, Nitschke's Northern Resort requires little to no driving to enjoy the area's attractions. Located directly on Lake Minocqua, guests who bring their own boat or rent one locally, can dock their boat at our boat slips (included with every cabin rental) and use it to travel all around the area.
In addition, the resort is located directly on the Bearskin trail, a 21-mile trail open to hiking and biking in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. The trail stretches from downtown Minocqua, past our resort, down to Tomahawk, providing unmatched accessibility to everything in the area.

Biggest Fish Contest
Our resort hosts an annual biggest fish contest that brings joy and excitement to all the young guests staying at the resort. The contest is held throughout the summer and offers winners of each age bracket $50 in cash for catching the biggest fish!

To enter, guests simply need to take a picture of their child holding the fish they caught and submit it to management along with the size of the fish (in inches) before September 30th each year. The winners are notified and sent their winnings via mail after all entries have been reviewed.
